Bio

Sono nato in un piccolo paese di campagna che aveva un solo campanile e mille viuzze di pietra. Ho sempre disegnato sin da quando ero piccolissimo (e mai sui muri di casa, per fortuna!), ho fatto grandi scorpacciate di libri e delle loro figure, ho dormito tra i giornali di un'edicola. Da quando ho scoperto che del disegno si poteva fare un mestiere ho continuato ad imbrattare tele e fogli, a consumare le punte dei pennelli, a far stancare le mine dei pastelli, ad annusare la carta. Diplomatomi all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli, ho continuato a scoprire nuove forme per comunicare quei mondi abitati da orsi che vanno in bicicletta e da volpi che prendono il thè. Selezionato in vari concorsi internazionali (Bordano, Tapirulan) ho pubblicato con Edizioni EL e Mondadori, ho esposto in una collettiva a Milano e a Cagliari. 

Il mio sogno è quello di continuare a fare libri sempre più belli.

I was born in 1987 in a little town in Italy with only a bell tower and a lot of ancient stone streets.
I have drawing since I was a child (and never on my house's walls, luckily!), I have read a lot of children's books, I have always slept between newspapers and books.

Beatrix Potter and Richard Scarry have been my personal precious sources of inspiration. Through their books and illustrations, I have understood that I would have become a children illustrator.

I have studied painting at the Academy of fine arts and some of my works were selected for some competitions like Bordano and Tapirulan. My first illustrated book was published in 2011 with Edizioni EL and Mondadori.

During my artistic career, I have used many different media like coloured pencils, watercolours, acrylic, and in recent years digital with Photoshop and Illustrator using my trusty Cintiq tablet.

Now I live in Rome with some friends, and I like spending my time in bookstores in search of new children books to collect!

I dream about having a dog.

My desire is to continue making books more and more beautiful.
